I know we have a BAY AREA sighting thread already but we need one for the Sacto and surrounding area(s) too as far as tahoe. If i see someone and we exchange greetings i really never look at the BA sighting thread so i decided to start a new thread for the "other people" of the BAIC.

I saw an ugly filibastard in an WRB 02 wrx with Rotas and a screwed up front lip making a left turn on elk grove florin from Laguna Blvd. :D

I saw a Silver STi on Stockton Blvd in elkgrove with a Ggreddy Evo exhaust. I was behind you when you decided to make a right on Sheldon road and a left on Power Inn road. Nice sounding exhaust BTW.

Seriously though, Monday 15th Blue STi on Hwy 128 just outside of winters.

I saw an 04 silver wrx wagon on my way to Arden mall on NB hwy99 at around 11am. The woman drivng looked a me like i had a dick growing on my forehead but the man in the passenger seat waved at me like it was cool.

Returning home from the Regular Saturday Meet tonight at 10:00p.m. on Laguna Blvd westbound, near Target. PSM 02-03 WRX with factory wing, stock wheels and exhaust. Man driving, woman passenger. Pulled up to stoplight, he glances over at my car and I'm about to wave but he never acknowledges me. He takes off from the light but I maintain a steady 45 mph and pass him when he gets caught in traffic. He gets around the traffic and speeds up to pass me on the right. I was thinking that maybe he wanted to wave or something but, nope, he gets by me and then eases off once past me. Okay, Speed Racer, have a Merry Christmas.

I saw him once at the 76 off laguna and I5 and we talked for a bit

LOL. I was reading along and the part about the Sonic Yellow subie caught me off guard. I doubt that I'll be flipping him off but if I see him driving I'll merge in front of him then gradually slow down until he is forced to go around me - then I'll speed up. I never go to Papa John's.

Only a pilot when I'm flying on my FZ1 or driving the WRX. Also, I was the one that asked about your military service. My dad was in the Army (KIA Vietnam 1967), my oldest brother is retired Army and I have another brother (CW2 computer geek) currently stationed in Germany but currently deployed to Iraq.

Currently running stock (painted black) rims with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s for the winter. The gold 17" OZ wheels with Bridgestones SO3s will go back on sometime in Feb/Mar timeframe.

If you were wondering who owns a BRP 2001 RS with tinted windows and stock rims, its ME! It also has a Cobb cat back and little yellow 'k4rt3oy' sticker on the back left. I live in Roseville near the Sierra Gateway campus.

Spotted an old guy (70+ at the least) in a silver sti on NB I99. Anyone seen this guy? i've seen him twice now. all i have to say is good for him!

Monday on a local Sacto evening show, channel 31, an interview with the owner of a PSM RS or WRX, wingless, with OEM WRX wheels. He was putting snow chains on his fronts in anticipation of the chain checkpoint on Hwy 80 en route to Reno.

I saw some guy in a brand new white 04 with out plates on christmas eve heading down elkhorn toward 99. He came up behind me and then along side...I kinda rev'ed on him and took off. Then he caught up again at the light and I waved with my inside light on. Couldn't tell if he waved back.

Either that, or it was relative to my going 45 mph in the opposite direction.

I saw a saw a 2002-2003 Black WRX wagon with tinted windows and what looked to be a Perrin/Bosal exhaust at 5:30pm in antelope off antelope rd. I forgot to look at the wheels and your tint was too dark to see inside. Lance (lowball) maybe!?

Between 2:20 - 2:25 on Auburn Blvd. a silver STI headed south and then a black WRX sedan with gold rims and gold Subaru door graphics heading north. I went to A&S BMW Motorcycles to buy a pair of Gerbing heated motorcycle gloves.

Saw a psm sedan while gassing up at boron (i was headed to vegas and he said he came from mammoth lake)he had modified exhaust. he surfs the socal forums and his handle is johnjay(not sure how to spell it..):D

That may have been me if it was on Saturday. I was leaving my house going to the Meet off Truxel. I didn't see you, but I did see a wrb sedan with gold rims and a rear sti wing turning left onto Antelope Rd right at the same time frame. Unless that was you??? But you have the wagon right?

I was just thinking about this the other day. I kept seeing all these sightings were we see the same cars a lot. I see a couple people all the time.

I like the idea of saying hey...saw this car out here..what's up.

Like I saw a really nice 99/2k RS the other day on my way to go snowboarding..he waved...I waved...though I doubt he saw it.

People probably think I am a dick cause at night you can't see me wave....tinted windows. Can't see jack.

Just recently I was driving west on I-50 and saw a
white GM6 RS, debadged with stock wheels. He was going very fast as I had to do over 100 to catch up. It was from El Dorado Hills exit all the way to Hazel and Greenback.

Saw 1 WRB MY02-03 Wrx at the chipotle off Laguna blvd. You had Rota formels, full sideskirts, SPT decal on the rear window, and what looked to be either an SPT, COBB or STi exhaust. Also had a DoD decal with yellow decal which means you are retired or inactive military. I was walking out of chipotle when i saw it.

I also saw a stock 2004 WRB Wrx in the same parking lot...both at 5:50pm.

They only person in that area that i know of is dan "dz" with a silver wrx. Unless he's recently gotten a new spoiler im not too sure it's him.

Saw a Silver 02/03 w/ wing stock exhaust possibly lowered pulled over by CHP after Folsom Blvd exit. Also, pulled over was a Lexus SC430 i believe, both cars may have been racing on the freeway. Sorry about being pulled over by CHP, but i hope u whooped on that Lexus!!!

MY04 WRB Wrx in the Raleys shopping center in Galt at around 2:15pm. Had what looked like silver 5 spoke knock-off wheels and an aftermarket exhaust.

saw you li'l after 9:30 in the parking area by the main lodge & whatnot. looked stock w/ spoiler. i parked by chair 5(fyi: you can get to boulder creek canyon quicker this way). damn...we need it to snow soon, too.

i saw a new black STi with gold rims on 99 south at 2:10pm... i just got into freeway from broadway... i try to wave... but you were talking on the cell phone...

Two sightings over the weekend:

PSM bugeye sedan at gas station in Fairfield (close to one of the on-ramps to Hwy 80) late Saturday afternoon, lowered multi-spoke dark-colored rims. I'm not familiar with the area so I don't know what road we were on.

PSM wagon passing all traffic on Hwy 80 eastbound near city of Davis at 08:00 Sunday. I think it was a bugeye, judging by the taillights from a distance...

I saw a WRB wrx on I-80 East somewhere near Antelope around 5:45 ish today. Also saw a PSM wrx on Auburn near the 7440 club this evening around 7:30 ish.

Two sightings today at Sierra@Tahoe. Both around 11:30

1) MBP WRX Sedan with debaged trunk. Some sort of red logo in back window; I couldn't make it out though.
2) White/Gray OB doing donughts in the parking lot :D

One sighting on 50 in Carson City (@3:00ish): White STi, didn't get a good look though so no better details then that.

WRB sedan on Watt avenue at the peacekeeper gate to McClellan park. I've seen you around the base before, where do you work? I'm with Raytheon near Forcum and Dudley waaaay in teh back of the base.

Bodega Hwy. , Sunday around noon .... P Silver WRX , Nevada Plates , Girl driving fast... Guy watching the scenery , pulled off in Sebastopol , I honked and waved spreading North Bay Suby love.

Today 1-26 about 7:30 Spotted a black WRX on 680 between benecia and fairfield, had personalized plates rolinit or something to that effect. I waved, you'd have to be blind to not have seen me.

saw a 02/03 sliver WRX with aftermarket exhaust on 80 going to 99 at 2:20pm... you exit on 12 ave... and i keep going...

I was on campus last Thurs for some research into grad schools and I saw three WRX's

1. Black WRX with Rota SDR's by Mondavi Center... car looked tight!

2. Silver WXR wagon also by Mondavi Center... my twin

3. Blue WRX with Sparcos(?). Another nice sedan.

I was surprised to see so many Subies in one day!!

black rex also had aftermarket exhaust, dark tint, and a custom CA plate. I have never seen SDRs in person but they looked sweet on his car

On Tuesday, a friend was driving back from a business meeting in the Bay Area on I-80 to Reno and spotted several cars that ran off the road in the bad road conditions, including a yellow WRX. These cars all ended up in a roadside ditch.

I've been away from the boards awhile, but I've been seeing you guys all over the place. Many times I've been in the wife's BMW though. My '02 WRB wagon was sold as of Monday, Feb. 23. It was a sad day, but I'll be back hopefully in a few months in GM/GC 2.5RS.

Oh yeah, I saw and did the peace sign thing to this guy in a black WRX sedan with lip and exhaust and who knows what else. We were both at the 76 right by Sugarbowl last Thursday after a day of boarding. Excellent powder day, BTW. Don't know if he's here, but he seemed cool.

If you ever see a Filipino guy in a black 323i sedan w/tinted windows wave, it's me. Or even an 87 Nissan pickup that's all jacked up, that's me too. (But I'm usually too embarassed to be seen in that pickup, so maybe not.) :)

7:30pm to 8:00-ish, returning home from Sac Meet, WRB sedan eastbound Hwy 50 before Hwy 99/Capitol City Freeway interchange, exchanged waves.

This morning I parked near a MY02/03 WRB wagon with an i-club sticker on the back. It's parked in the City Hall Garage (10th and J St) downtown.

I have the stock silver MY04 wagon parked on the same level.

We probably work in the same building...

That 02 WRB wagon would be mine. Cracked windshield mod & all. I actually work down the street at 13th & I. City of Sac Planning Dept. I usually park on the 4th or 6th floor.

i've been seeing a silver 02 or 03 WRX in the area of Bradshaw and Folsom Blvd a lot lately. looks like a pretty much stock car with the OEM body kit on it? Do you live around there? I do, and so do a couple other i-clubbers.

Well, I've spoted bunch on Sat.

Seen 02-03 WRX wagon blue and few seconds later white on Whiding way and silver sedan on SAME STREET 10-20 seconds a part. it was around 10:30 in the morning

Then later saw white rex wagon in Folsom. Don't member the road. I flashed my head light at you.

And I think I'm missing 1 or 2 more sedans and another blue wagon because I don't remember where I saw them. So the whole day was scooby sightings unlimited :eek:

picked up car at Maita Subaru in Sac and saw a very clean 02-03 silver rex with OZ Superleggas on Tues night. Grrrr... I am jealous!

Then later in the day, saw a silver sedan ('02/'03) turning left at intersection of truxel/san juan. I waved, you waved back.

Sunday night sighting...

Black WRX sedan driving eastbound on I-80 near Davis. A CHP on a bike flew past me and crept right up on you stealth style. I thought you would get hit for sure, but he must have passed you up for somebody else.

weird spotting...

merged onto I-80 East at E St onramp and see this cool looking black STI creeping up on me. it is one of the few places in Sac with a sloped twistie that I can go flying up so I was readily approaching 80. the car came up right alongside but had tinted front windows. after he passes me, i pull up behind him. pretty much stock STI (but it did have a decal on the front windshield) with WA plates.

It merges over one lane so I am thnking, "hey, STI owners aint all that bad!" i come up alongside it, thumb ready for some luv, and nothing... not even a passing glance. btw, it was an older lady so i am thinking that she was borrowing her son's car and was tired of getting crept on by all / most car enthusiasts

drove alongside a wrb bugeye sedan on 19th ave in downtown Sac. For some reason you were going ultra-slow, but your car looked tight!

Spotted a VERY shiny WRB bugeye wagon parked on 11th Street between H and I Streets in downtown Sacramento. It looked so pretty with the reflections of the trees.

Nice looking girl driving 99 rs filling up at the arco on gerber 6-5-2004 waved but she didnt notice.

Saw a blue sti on the dumbarton bridge today. XfrsXXXX.

Saw a guy on I-80 Eastbound just before the Madison exit in Sac, driving what I think was an 05 Legacy wagon but I could be mistaken. Anyway, he was looking at me over his shoulder and I gave him a thumbs up and he returned the gesture.

Saw a 02-03 WRB WRX clearly wave to me one block south of the Chevy's and TGIF's off Howe Ave. You had a passanger and threw-up a gansta like wave out the window. i waved back but i think the sun was in my favor.

Bug eyed WRB sedan, American flag in the rear window on Fair Oaks in Carmichael Sunday afternoon around 3:40. I got no love when I tried to wave (although he did move over and let me pass). I was in the black STi. :(

Black 04 WRX sedan on Stockton in Sac (near the Med Center). Asian driver. I wasnt feeling much love, but we drove side by side for awhile.

And later in the day... two WRX wagons, black and silver, on Hwy 50 around Rancho. I pulled up next to you guys, waived at the older dude driving the black rex, and then cruised past.

I had my hand up to wave because they were pulling right alongside, but they passed me doing about 75 mph with not so much as a glance as they went by. Surprised me because I thought they were trying to catch up to me. I have three i-Club stickers on my car - they couldn't have missed it if they were looking so I guess these guys were not members.

saw a black STi with gold rims outside Frank Fats between 8th and 9th on L ST at 5:20pm today... we did wave to each other... nice to see you...

I've got two for today:

1. 7:15am or so. Black '04/'05 WRX sedan on I80W just after I5. We waved as I exited at W. El Camino.

2. 8:30pm or so. I think this was DZ. Silver WRX on Gold STi BBS wheels. 21st and Capitol downtown. I didn't get a good look and didn't have time to turn around since I was heading for work :)

i see wrx's and sti's everyday driving north on 680 around 5-530pm. i'm going south from fairfield, they never wave though so i figure they are not on here.

Ok here is my two sightings in the Folsom area

1. 7:40am Black Bug eye traveling down Grant line road. Very nice

2. 12:30-12:50pm. Blue Bug eye, saw him after I turned I tried to wave, don't know if you saw it.

04 silver WRX with painted oem side skirts, STi JDM rear skirts, hks carbon-ti exhaust and STi gold rims outside laguna/franklin walgreen parking at 3:45pm today...

Just got back from the Yosemite area. TONS of Subarus (as expected from higher elevations).Mostly Legacys,a few GC's,saw one Brat,a few WRX's (older people drivng them).
Also saw a WRB STi in Twaine Harte but I doubt you're on this board.
