Bad Turbo?..how can you tell?

Bad Turbo?..how can you tell?
Here is the story.
The car will start and run to 3000rpm(when warming up car). Then about 5 minutes after start up, it starts losing boost. I'll have my foot on the throttle steady at 3000rpm, then the rpms just start dropping with my foot in the same place. When this starts to happen, my car runs like the E-brake is on and i'm trying to go(like i'm holding the brake and the throttle). Also, EVERYTHING heats up like crazy...downpipe red hot, uppipe red-hot. My car drove down the road before without any major problems like this.

a quick check you can do is take off the inlet pipe of your turbo and try to turn it you should be able to turn it with you finger... also try to wiggle it with you finger to check the shaft for free play... should not have very much.... if to much free play or hard to turn... most likley the bearings are out and needs to be re-build check out this link http://www.turbocity.com call then they sell re-build kits and are nice to talk to they are in So.
