View Full Version : HKS Racing Suction Intake
adamsrs 10-22-2003, 11:05 AM Hey guys, so I hit 1000 miles yesterday. Now I want intake to allow that turbo to breath a little better, and to make some cool noises. I have selected the HKS Racing Suction Intake available from www.gruppe-s.com . It is $295 and not only comes with the filter and mounting hardware, but it comes with the hard pipe which is similar to that of the one that ZEROSPORTS makes. Does anyone have this intake on their car? If you do how does it sound/perform? Did you get a CEL with this? ANY information is GREATLY appreciated as it will help inform me about my purchase! THANKS GUYS!

adamsrs 10-23-2003, 12:43 AM I dont want teh Blitz cuz it is not a foam or paper filter, and i dont trust the metal filter. I had an HKS filter on my GC8 and liked it. As far as Turbo XS goes, i only buy JDM parts, so it is out of the question. I know it sounds dumb, but i put JDM parts on a Japanese car....just my style i guess.

calworld 10-24-2003, 11:59 AM Go search for HKS intakes in NASIOC and you should be able to find an article saying their filtration is worse than stock and IMHO that HKS intakes is a little bit overrated
I would get the ARC intake box...proven and JDM :cool:

dsmperformance 10-26-2003, 01:50 AM Blitz supposedly upgraded their filtering capabilities. Everyone that has one loves it. Personally, I run the TXS intake, it works.

adamsrs 10-30-2003, 10:58 AM See i dont know if i wnat the ARC or the HKS. If i get the HKS it is $295 and it comes witht he filter AND the hard pipe. If i get the ARC i would also have to get the Zerosports hard pipe which would mean i would have to pay about $500 total for the ARC box AND Zerosports hardpipe. OR i could get the Zerosports intake kit which comes with a metal element filter and the Zerosports hard pipe for like $400. I need more opinions!
