Me and my roommate have decided to take off the first snow day of the year and give our cars a bit of a workout (and get some pictures, of course).
Anyone in the area got some good recommendations of where to go?

Wow... I know all of those roads so well. I've driven both of those routes EXACTLY like you described a bunch of times
(it's about 5 minutes from my house).
I can't think of a more fun road than McNamee. Incredibly twisty.
Gotta watch out for the loose dogs though.
Has Newberry opened up yet? It was closed for construction all summer.

Yep, Newberry is open now. Although they have been doing periodic work over the past few weeks still. I drive that way everyday to work & home. It is a BLAST! People still think it is being worked on, so there is not a lot of traffic yet.
Now you just have to watch out for wayward FedEx trucks on Newberry!!! I see at least 5-8 of them coming down the hill around 5pm.
