Ok, just bought a 04 WRX wagon...yahooooo!!!! great car:D

I also have a set of Prodrive P7's, 17"s that used to be on my 93L, not i need tires for these puppies to go on the wagon.

Not sure what brand i should get for these and what size

i use to have 215/17/45, wondering if 225/17/45 would work even if i lower the car in the future, would there any rubbing in the 04 if used 225 size tires.


Also looking for black or anthracite (color of rims i have)lugnuts for P7's that would be recommended

I would recommend 225/45/17 if you are going from stock 205/55/16's since the 17's will be 0.3% slower on the speedometer reading. 215/45/17 will be 1.0% faster in your speedometer. Which in summary means that 225/45/17 is closest in tire&wheel diameter to stock. Depending on your suspension setup it may or may not rub. I've seen some pretty low 225/45/17's do fine even in ripping turns. The only nuisance I've heard is rubbing against that little bump in your passenger side wheelwell if your car is low enough while ripping a turn.

If the offset of your 17x7" P1s is greater than or equal to 48mm, go for the 225s for the reasons mentioned above. The wagon has room for them but offsets lower than 48mm on a 7.5" inch wheel can hit the fender lip liner. You would have a mm or two extra since you use a 7" wheel.
