WRX hood on a RS! -- HELP!?

WRX hood on a RS! -- HELP!?
Recently the hood on my 2003 2.5RS got crunched and it needs to be replaced. Now i was hoping to get a hood hood with the scoop, just like on the 2003 rex, but the guy at the shop said the water from rain would drain directly on to my airbox, which will not nessecarily cause a problem, but may. I was wondrin if you guys knew if this would cause a problem, and if so how i could get the hood on there with any problems, and even if it would fit properly! thanks!

i have a 2.5rs with a hoodscoop and no screen and have been through tons of different weather and there have been absolutley no problems so go for it
