To anybody out there who is running a set of the prodrive P1 driving lights! I was wondering if anybody who made this switch had any problems with making the wiring mate up to the P1 lights, or should I have my soldering Iron ready? I am making a bumper swap as well as light swap on my 1998 RS, and I wanted to know what I'm in for. Please only respond if you know, thanks....:D

not sure about the wiring but should'nt be too dificult.......should be ok with standard wiring harness unless it's gas discharge

Uh oh.. those are gas discharge lights (part of the reason I want them). Any idea what I'm gonna be in for there?

red devil------ was'nt sure which ones you mean't as we have the normal p1 lamps .....the gas dis-charge was an option.......i damaged mine not long ago and need a new wiring loom .... still trying to source one as the dealers will only sell the full kit at £400 +17.5% tax...:(:(:(

I had my eye on the full kit from performancesubaru.com in the uk... they want £395 for it, plus shipment. Do you think that kit will have everything I need to hook it up, or am I going to have to try to find the loom as well? Also, what were the "normal" P1 lamps? Were they just projectors that looked like the other ones or were they the big lights? I always thought the P1 cars had only one light setup, so this is very informative..

all p1's only came with the projector style fog lamp....standard would just use a regular bulb.......on the options list were the gas discharge. These would look the same externally until it's switched on......the wiring loom is also different but the £400 kit includes everything you need......so the subaru dealer tell me.
