All motor, yummy! Very expensive, though, and probably won't be able to get as much power out of it as you would with a turbo and new pistons. Check out http://cobbtuning.com/impreza/ , lots of nifty little goodies in there. But for the kind of power you are wanting NA, you're looking at crank, rods, pistons, cams, heads, intake, exhaust, fuel system, maybe even a stronger block, like the Cobb Stage 2 block, which is supposed to be built for high-end NA power.

Cobb valve springs
Cobb titanium retainers
Custom stainless steel valves
Closed deck bock
11:1 compression pistons nitrous coated (future nitrous use)
custom connecting rods
knife edged crank shaft
balanced
blueprinted
Sleeved
Torque plate boring to 2.55+L
Bully 6-puck clutch
9 lb fidanza flywheel
STi engine mounts
STi tranny mounts
Unichip engine management (soon to be Link stand alone)
Redline set at 8,000 rpm
If you have questions let me know.
I ran a 14.20@94.34...mind you this is with very shabby tuning from the Unichip. Its a piggy back and we couldnt tune it well at all, it runs rich all over the car is missign power. But the LINK is being tuned next week and that will put me in the mid-high 13 for sure...thet 1/4 tiem was before the 9 lb flywheel or the bored TB. Anyway... better numbers will come and its a lot fo fun to redline at 8,000!!!

hey that a poop load of mods, what do you think that would run me? i bet it sounds better then a blow off valve too huh? did you do any weight reductions? i peep that cobb site thanks. im a straight up speed freak who has a tight budget and loves originality but i can do a n/a car peice by peice that might be the way to go. ok keep the tips comming. thanks again bug
JUN's cams are for a turbo motor as far as I know. SYMS is the only Japanese tuner that builds N/A EJs to my knowledge. Cobb, TWE, or Paeco are your best bets for a crazy N/A build up. Or crazy custom like Dan. Then of course you only end up running low 14s.

AWD OWNZ U- Ouch man!
This car will be ready to impress with the Link
(god I hope so)! Right now I blow black clouds of smoke out of my exhaust on start up sometimes thanks to Unichip tuning. Not exactly running what i would call great lol!
Yes the Link goes in next week and I will go to the track promptly after a good two days of tuning on the street. We are going to tune the car on a dyno after that when we get a spot (it won't be hard to do), then i can actually see how much it is putting down and tune it some more. Anyway...by the 16th of this month Ill go to the track and come back with real times!!! I hope the new times prove tuning is everything.
