i am thinking about purchasing a UTEC. I am , however, not very experienced with engine tuning. Is the UTEC too complicated for some one like me?

The UTEC is ultra cool. It comes with base maps for you to play with. However, I would highly recommend that you have a laptop for data logging. It took me a couple of days to learn the basics as I am new to ECU tuning as well, but it wasn't bad at all. The interface is simple and easy to navigate/use/understand.
