I was just wondering if anyone has a picture of what the Vis oem style carbon fiber hood for the 2.5 RS looks like. I just bought one from a local performance shop but I have a suspicion that it's not a real Vis, even though I paid for one. The reason is that the carbon fiber doesn't wrap all the way underneath, instead it just stops at the edges. Also, it only came with the scoop for my 2.5 RS and I was under the impression that it came with the scoop and vents. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks :confused:

hey, do you know where to purchase a carbon fiber hood? Websites?

I have a VIS carbon fiber hood on my 2003 rs and if it is a real VIS the the edges are rolled, and right where the hood latch on the back side is, there should be a VIS racing badge mounted.

The best carbon fiber hood you can get is made by VIS. Their website is www.visracing.com but they don't do retail so you will have to go through a local motorsports shop in your area.

Thanks for the info. I think that they guys at the shop were trying to screw me over because when I confronted the owner about it on the phone he said he would call me back but I haven't heard from him since yesterday. Anyways, thanks.:)
