DemonPossessed 02-11-2009, 06:38 PM I haven't had good luck with mobil one. my motor seemed to consume it. I've had good luck with redline and royal purple. imout 02-11-2009, 06:43 PM im using Neo synthetics 5w-30w C89ZX7R 02-12-2009, 03:57 AM Amsoil is the best hands down. Search mobil one on nasioc you won't like what you will see! hYpE-R-29 02-13-2009, 12:03 PM I use 0w30 Castrol Syntec ryball 02-13-2009, 01:10 PM canola ScoobySon 02-14-2009, 10:29 AM AMSoil is the best synthetic in the US. If that didnt exsist, I would use Motul. http://i546.photobucket.com/albums/hh405/yotafiend/scooby4006.jpg My homie, Bugeyerex02, runs the 10w-30 Dominator Racing Amsoil. DemonPossessed 02-19-2009, 10:24 PM ^ is that you bobby? C89ZX7R 02-25-2009, 10:54 PM Actually the EaU13 or is it EaU013 amsoil oil filter has a synthetic media inside. the 12 is what amsoil says should be on the car but the 13 is roughly a half a inch longer than the 12 and the stock subaru filter. I use the number 13 amsoil filter, 10w30 amsoil oil, magnetic oil drain plug:) car is over stage 2 with 95,000 miles still runs smooth. O and i do oil changes every 5000 to 7500 miles. ScoobySon 03-13-2009, 02:53 PM Yeah, I noticed the Eauo12 filters were tiny compared to the subie oem filters, I'll have to check out the 13. ScoobySon 03-25-2009, 05:19 PM Damn, just remembered that I have to have the Subie dealer do up my oil changes for awhile. Last time, SOA could have almost not honored the warranty because I had no record of any maintenance being done. Even though I did my own oil changes 3 times within the first 7800 miles before the motor went, knock, knock. Figured I would just wait till like 20k on the second motor till I will switch over to 5or10W30 with the EaO13 filter, although my engine sounds horrible everytime I drive it, but the dealer can find nothing wrong with it. Also, was reading somewhere about Subie filter not having the Anti-Drainback. Is the AMSoil EaO12 and 13 missing that too? When you look at the inside of the Ams filters, it looks like just a paper media and thats it. |
