California Mandates Display of 'Global Warming Score' on New Vehicles

Big Brother to the rescue!!

Global Warming Score for New Vehicles.

California wants you to consider greenhouse gas emissions when you buy your next new car. And to help you do that, they’ve revised their mandatory Environmental Performance label for all 2009 model-year cars. All new vehicles must display the modified sticker by January 1, but some could appear on cars as early as this month.

The eco-compassionate can't understand the smog scale so the dumb it down even further. "If you buy this car it will make X sqft of the ice caps melt", is this the message they are trying to convey? That's going to hit home with many of the highly educated enviro activists.

Big deal. To me it doesn't seem any more different than the Nutritional Facts that are put on processed food. If you care, you care, if you don't, you don't.

And the people that would know anyways are car enthusiast that don't care about stickers. Meaning if you know nothing of cars it's safe to assume SUV/Big Truck = bad, and small cars/sedans = good. This idea is stupid.
