Doesn't count if you're unemployed.

So I am building a new parking lot here at work. I have to close down about 150 parking spaces in one of the existing lots so we can cut back the asphalt and tie the two together. I sent out an email blast to residents of two 4 story buildings (about 2500 people), I put up posters in two lobbies and the cafeteria detailing the stalls which would be closed and where they could find alternate parking, and I put up cones and caution tape last night. Yet some jackass in a Lexus GS430 drove through the cones last night and parked in one of the carpool spots that is going away (without a carpool permit even).

The tow company will be here in the next 20 minutes and, while I could tow him 15 feet to one of the open stalls (most people don't get in until 8:30-9:00), I'm towing his car clear across to the other side of campus a good 1/4 mile away.

Our campus has 6500 employees and we have designated carpool parking spots for employees who sign up to commute together in a single vehicle.

Security actually gives out tickets to people that park in carpool spots without a security issued permit that hangs from the rearview mirror.

People around here are lazy and don't like to walk great distances from their cars to the buildings. But since most of them come in between 8:30 and 9:00, most of the up front spots are taken. So a lot of them used to jump in the designated carpool parking spots. Hence the need for permits and policing.

They are so huge. 9000+ employees with a goal to hit 10K.

You are like two buildings down from me!!! We should have an i-club UCDMC lunch meet.
