Which interior amps that you know of will fit easily under the passenger seat? I am looking for something in the 40-50watts RMS by four. Thanks.

Just about any 4 channel under 800 watts will fit. I have the brain box to my fold out TV under there and there is still plenty of room to mount something else (hopefully the DSP to go with the TV).

The under-seat area in these cars is huge, right now I have TWO (small) amps under the driver's seat and you can still see no wiring or clues that they're there through the windows.

I don't recall the dimensions you need to stick to off-hand, but you can just break out a measuring tape and measure what will fit. There are always dimensions listed when buying online. Go more for square-ish and less for elongated.

I fit this bad boy under the driver's seat. If it fits, most any 4 channel amp will fit.

By the way it's a Helix 5 channel (60x4 + 250x1)

A JBL P 80.4 fits nicely too.

Thanks for the help, curently I'm deciding between the....

Brand Model Power Dimensions
Height Width Length
Alpine MRP-F200 40x4RMS 2 5/16" 11 13/16" 10"

Kenwood KAC-749 40x4RMS 2 1/4" 13" 11 3/4"

RF Punch 300X 37.5x4RMS 2 7/16" 13 3/8" 9 7/8"

So these should all fit easily? Well if that's the case then it's time for speakers, what should I go with? I'm thinking components in front.

Whatever you do, stay far far away from RF products. The excellent products they made years ago are just a memory.

02GatorWRX--thx for the link, that is a really nice amp!

i also agree with DanMan on the rockford stuff, i am currently running all rockford stuff, BUT it is all the older stuff and i just can't speak to highly of the new.

1quikrex-you should definetly go with components, how much do you have as far as a budget goes? you should really replace all door speakers at once especially if you plan on running the rear speakers off an amp as the stock speakers don't last long off amp power i know from experience;)

So I guess you didn't get the memo in time on RF products? :D

I just installed a Kenwood KAC-729S amp under my seat..... it fits perfect and sounds great. i just velcroed it to the carpet. i have an alpine deck, rockford 6 1/2's up front, kenwood 6x9's in the back. Best of all, it only cost me 220 for the amp and speakers. i also rewired my whole car w/ stinger wires. this guy that i got the stuff from is pretty cool...... its all stuff from his old shop that he's trying to get rid of.
