2000 Impreza RS. What do i need to turbo this??
ok.. my friend wants to turbo his car. he wants to do a TD04 with stock wrx parts.. what will he need exactly??

Don't bother. What's the point if you can only boost 5 or 6 psi max? There are a few who have been successful with it, (AWDImprezaL??), but not really worthwhile.

Hypothetically, if you are going to spend $4k on a turbo kit that will max out at 5 or 6 psi, you are just better off buying Hatteroo's swapped RS.

for 4 k you might as well just do a 2.0 wrx swap, the engine and parts should run you about that much total if not less
that is if you are doing labor yourself
just remembered now, there is a link on the very top of the turbo and forced induction section that is a long discussion about how to turbo your car for about 1k. have your friend go through it, theres a lot of good info in there.

tell your friend to save his money and get the car swapped if he wants more power. that would be the best solution if he wants more power, plus swapped gc's are the best
