Do they fit? Anyone done that before?

so 05's should be no problem

dont worry, i have tried 03 wrx seats to put on my 91 legacy before, and they all fit with out moding anything. so 05 can fit into a 98 should have no problem at all.

would you be sitting any higher with the 05 seats vs the 98?

you would be a little taller, but I'd say it would not matter unless you are really tall.
