I was driving back from a night out... Traveling in the number 1 lane (fast lane) at about 80mph... Traffic was light, it was about 2am. I notice a car coming up on me pretty fast from the number 3 lane... switching to the #2 lane, back into the #3 lane, then into the #4 lane... Passed me going at least 90mph... He overcompensated a lane change, lost control and slammed into the center divider at like 90mph!

I was like "Holy crap!"... I stopped to see if everyone was okay since I was the only car around... As I stopped, I could hear them trying to start the car without success (trying to flee)... They were facing the wrong side of traffic so I could see everything they were doing... They were being frantic and trying to hide some black bag into the back of the car... The passenger tried getting out but he couldn't since the car door was sealed shut from the accident. I yelled to them to stay in the car till the cops showed up (as I was advised to do so by the dispatcher for my own safety).

About 4 mins later a car was traveling at a normal rate of speed in the #3 lane, rubbernecking, lost control and slammed into the center divide just as the other car did, only about 50 yards further down the freeway! I ran over to see if everyone was okay, they were shaken up but everyone was fine.

about 4 cop cars show up on the scene... The found weapons in the first car... Driver was unlicensed, no registration, DUI, and had illegal weapons (they wouldn't disclose what they were).

The officers thanked me for filling out a witness form and sent me on my way.


What the hell is wrong with people!? You drink and drive = YOU LOSE. Those guys came really close to slamming into my car... If I would have been about 2 seconds ahead of where I was, the would have t-boned me going 90mph+... There was no way I was going to let them get away with it. F'ing morons.

A few months ago, there was a SUV that rolled over on a onramp also on 880. Right after the accident, I see a car flipped over in the #1 lane. All the police/fire trucks/ etc were at the SUV which rolled over on the on ramp, not the car on the freeway. I can probably say that it was due to rubber necking.

I think you would have been doing the world a favor if you had taken out both of those drunk drivers with a couple shots to the head. Hey, they were drinking right? What's a couple more shots for them??

They are worthless, useless wastes of human beings who deserved to be killed for their stupidity. Too bad they're not dead.

dude, last night was a crazy night.... i got off of work at like 12ish and i was driving home on 880 south and there was a fatty traffic jam (prob drunk driver crashed or something) and we were just stopped. hella people started to exit the on ramps, and i was thinking... wow, thats crazy, then i looked at my fuel and it was like in the red. so rather then risk dieing on the freeway i hooked a U ON THE FREEWAY long with 500 other people and drove off the on ramp... craziest thing i've done on the freeway.

 

Lol i would of paid to see this.

 

Slowing down to see the accident on the side, etc.

 

dude no joke.... and it was a SLOW u turn man.... i was driving the mini van and i was "blocking" (i don't know if u can call it blocking if noones moving) 2 lanes haha
