thats right, i couldnt pass up the deal i got on the 02+ WRX/STI AEM cold air intake. install was a little tricky. had to fab a small connection piece (as you can see in the pics) to link the cold air tube to the main intake pipe. i left the stock black box (where it connects to the throttle body). so far ive notice a little more torq, and a little more pep off the line. and the sound, its there, just not real loud [then again, i really cant hear it with my exhaust system, lol]


oh yeah, there is no cel's, and the intake MAF sensor in on the underside of the intake tube.

intakes are sooo loud on the non turbo 2.5 liter cars, i loved my01 rs

 

the RED PIPING is AEM! the Silver pipe is from a injen intake i cut up (which wasnt any good) to make the small connection piece i needed for the 2 AEM pieces!


AEM WRX/STI intakes = 2 piece (so you can run either WAI or CAI)
INJEN WRX/STI intakes = 1 piece (only CAI)
