CarSeats In WRX or Legacy
CarSeats In WRX or Legacy
Anyone here have carseats in their Subaru's? I am assuming since you all have such high taste in cars you only get the best carseat out there, the Britax of course, and I am wondering how that seat fits in the WRX's. We have the Britax Marathon, currently rear facing, and the seat is a monster. My back seat of my Nissian is of no use with the carseat in place.
Also, I know some newer cars are coming out with the floor tether tie downs, like the ones for the head when forward facing, but this would tether the head of the seat to the floor when rear facing. Do the 2006 have this feature?
Oh and if you have a wagon how well does your stroller fit in while still leaving room for major shopping trips to Gymboree
Thanks guys, oh and if you ever want Scotty to get a new car you better answer these questions well

The Marathon fits fine both forward and back in the center of an '02 sedan. There are tethers in back for forward, but not for rear-facing. It's tight for passengers, but I don't sit back there so I don't care. If we bring the stroller, we can't buy anything because bags won't fit in back. I ALWAYS bring the stroller.
I want a Legacy wagon.

Some new fancy cars are starting to have tethers on the back seat floor so that you can secure the top of the carseat when the seat is rear facing (min rear facing is 1 year and 20 lbs) This is so the head of the seat will not pop forward in a bad crash.....even though rear facing is already really safe. I kinda want to be **** about it.
So ummm Matt..........do you think I could like put my stroller in your wagon, just to test it out..........I'll give you some cookies

2 big dogs plus future plans for kids = 4 runner. plus, it gets 22mpg city, 26 freeway.
all the work we were doing with the house (picking up supplies, hauling isht to the dump, etc...) plus a need for something cheaper than the g35 = tundra. and that beast gets mileage on par with what i got out of my wrx or g35. btw, when i went truck shopping, i originally intended to get a tacoma. with the tacoma being a new model, and the tundra being an outgoing model, i got the tundra at a considerable discount and was thousands less than an access cab tacoma would've been.
we'll probably dump the tundra in a few years and pick up something like a camry or accord to replace that, and keep the 4 runner.
my issue with the tribeca isn't what it is, it's that it looks a little too much like a mini-van (which it isn't), and not enough like an SUV (which it is).

I want a minivan but Mr says no.....
Yes look at me in shock all you want, but when you have a baby and have to tote around everything that goes with one, you will want a min van too. Wait till the get so long you can change their diaper in the back seat anymore. You will want a nice long extra bench seat to change the poopies on.
