Factory Subframe Brace

Hey all,
I want to get rid of my stock subframe brace. What do you recommend I do to replace it? I'm not convinced that just removing it and putting nothing in it's place would be right, considering how it really ties almost 2 ends of the car together. Thanks!

I really don't like to remove it at all because I think it is part of the crush structure during a frontal collision. Just look for some Cusco chassis braces that can bolt underneath without removing that factory u-shaped brace.
