ok I was reading somewhere that u should only use syn. oil after 5000 to 10,000 miles Is this true cause after about the first 2000 I changed to mobile one syn is this going to f up my car .

No it will not. Usually they say to wait a bit longer so that everything is "seated and sealed" to put it very generally.

I think you'll be all right... I have been running sythetic in my new block since first oil change.

from what I hear from a local BMW tech, the new bmw's come from the factory with synthetic oil. I think you'll be fine

My dealership told me not to put in synthetic until after 10,000 miles. The service manager said if it's put in too soon, that cars tend to burn oil around 25,000 miles. I'll wait until then to do it.

<--------- sybthetic(mobil) since 3,000 and engine runs like a champ. Master tec at Flatirons subaru(best dealership EVAR) said it's overkill, but I fugure it can't hurt.

Finally after 13 months and 10,101 miles, I just switched to Mobil1.
