my ssr comps are pretty worn down, i want to get the refinished. but its kinda pricey. so im think i want to paint them my self. i did this on my integra but i did it gunmetal. and i wanna keep away from making my wrx looking cheap. anyone have pics of their wheels painted gold???

 

Well, I don't know how helpful this is gonna be, but here are some pics of mine. I bought them spray painted gold (pretty crappy job, and in the pics I had already started to sand them down), I sandblasted and sanded them down, and then resprayed them (2 of them are primer grey in the pics) black with a polished lip. If you take the time to properly prep and paint, they can turn out pretty sweet.

 

Sorry this is the only pic I had of my old bugeye(proud STi owner now) but anyway, I painted my stock rims with gold spray paint. I just sanded em' down sprayed a couple of coats of primer and couple of coats of gold paint and was done. They turned out great by the way.
