Miss rice meng, take a short freeway ride--5 North 91 West exit Pioneer Blvd and turn left. Corner of South and Pioneer is Sam Wu--my favorite Chinese place. The take-out area (Pioneer side is real cheap and good) eat-in is real good too, but pricier. If you go right on South, there is Goldilocks (Filipino) in the complex that has Target and Starbucks. Also L & L in same complex. Also if you get the chance, check out the Irvine Spectrum, that is a happening mall.
If your gonna be there for a hot minute I recommend taking a drive up the PCH in the morning just before the sun starts to rise. Its pretty nice and relaxing, probably the closest thing to Hawaii your gonna get, if your home sick. The more north you go out of LA the less brown the air gets. My Mom and Pops place is in Oxnard, they got plenty rice and adobo, even spam if you miss home that much! LOL Enjoy Cali for me, its been awhile since I been back home. Peace..Jay
P.S. We got the bomb strawberries if you like em, they ain't the small COSTCO kind either.
