You might call a Subaru parts counter and ask if the part number for the headers on a MY 04 and a MY 05 is really different.
kyle_RS 06-09-2006, 11:44 AM yeah thanks i think that engine is the same betweent the 04 and 05 2.5rs but i just want to make sure!

kyle_RS 06-10-2006, 12:37 AM bump i need to know what headers will fit my 05 rs! also which are better equal length or like the borla and stock???
AWDimprezaL 06-10-2006, 06:17 AM they will fit, borla will sound better, anything else will cost alot more, sound like crap, and give you minimal gains OVER borla. (but they are proven to make more HP then borla)
sil25rs 06-10-2006, 11:41 AM +1 these really bring out the rumble that i wanted. kinda made it alil more quieter tho but more gains on the top end (according to the butt dyno). that specific model number is the one i have fitted with my stromung axle back. wondering if i should get a high flow cat or just strait pipe the *&ish! hahaha

Absolutely! '04-'05 same for Borlas. I just put a set on my '05 last month (very happy with the improvement ~). If it's the dual port header, you are ready to install!

Don't do either if you want any kind of quiet exhaust ~ the Stromung will be LOUD with either HF cat OR 'track pipe'. You can mellow it some with an 18" resonator in the center pipe... It will sound VERY mean (think 911 at full song)... a good thing.
But, expect attention from 'five-o'.

It can help with drivability... seems to help the older cars more (older, funkier grounding). Money in the pocket still? Grab some SWIFT! springs ~ go to my Vb Garage to check them out on a wagon.

thanks i already have eibach springs in the mail, and yes i do still have cash sittin in my pocket, my big question is would a high flow cat be worth the money for my car?
shaggadelic 06-25-2006, 12:01 PM b/c the high flow cat is allowing your car to breath better and will work better with the borlas. and if you already have an exhuast.
btw i have a grounding kit on my car and i noticed better gas milage and a little hp gain. but def. increase in gas milage. and also the start up of my car is better.
