my 94 Impreza sedan is supposed to have a 15.7 gallon tank, but for the last 3 years, whenever im on E, i can only put in 10 gallons. i never thought of it until i read it on cars101.com.



so my question is, whats up with my tank?



any ideas BAIC?

 

Either your tanks smaller then 15.7 gallons or your fuel sending units off.

 

I might be wrong ... but every car has a reserve tank kind of thing when your gas light turns on it still has a couple of gallons in the tank so you can make it to a gas station. That what I heard a long time ago, but dont take my word for it

 

^^a 94 won't have a low fuel light. But my 96 only has a 13.5 gal or so tank. That site has to have bad info. What does your manual say???

Like I3eXa said, that information is way off.

edmunds.com states that all sedans for the '94 Impreza has a 13.2 gallon tank. IIRC, the 15.7 gallon is my MY02 WRX.

 

i got the info from cars101.com. it said a 94 Impreza Sedan L 2wd auto has a 15.7 gallon tank. i hate getting the wrong info. unfortunately, my car didnt have an owner's manual when i bought it.

 

whenever I need info, I always check edmunds. I think they have one of the best compilations of information from any car 1990+
