i got the helix. my biggest concern was fitment/leaks and figured the flex would help fitment. pita to install so i'd hate to readjust if there was a problem. which there wasn't!

Go Perrin. Can't beat it. Perrin makes fantastic parts with great craftsmanship.
Install is a PITA but after its all back together and you go for a drive it will put a smile on your face...trust me.

It pulls harder than a stock wrx...and yes you can notice it.

I got the APS up-pipe and no leaks. I think there was a batch that the cast mold was bad as the thread shows on that webpage. That thread is three years old too. You can't go wrong with Helix, but I don't know much about Perrin. The best design for heat retention would be Inconel, then cast iron, and finaly stainless steel. If you get a SS up-pipe I would suggest you get it ceramic coated. I got my up-pipe coated ,even though it is cast iron, just for more performance and it is cheap.
