Hey,

Just got my 2003 WRX... anyone else go out to Streets of Woodfield on weekends? I used to run with Eclipses out there, we'd meet on the top of the Lowe's parking garage.

In any case, I'd like to meet up with some of the WRX locals.. post a follow up if you're interested.

It's at the intersection of the East-West Tollway (kennedy Expwy) and Route 53, in Schaumburg. In the summer there is a bunch of cars and people there (yeah mostly younger) but there are also quite a few nice cars there. I remember once I was in a group of about 9 eclipses and we all drove by in a row... lots of looks from that one! Why not with WRX's?

Ya might wanna try asking this over at impreza.net A group of 30 odd subaru guys meet up at a Dennys in addison every thrusday to hang out and chat cars. once the weather gets better we will be moving back to our summer hangout of the old navy parking lot off golf near 53.

I've been out to woodfield before and its pretty cool, but does anyone ever race out there. Don't get me wrong i like to see some nice rides but nothin beats the adrenaline rush of a good street race. pm me.

i live in ohio, but when i was visiting a friends in Arlington Heights and Skokie, we went to woodfield and there were lots of cars, only a couple wrx's tho, someone has a yellow and black one, and there's a solid black one with aftermarket exhaust and rims i think

Some times, not so much us rex's but there are plenty of other cars always.

after my school ends, i'll probably end up goin with my friend and his wrx to the streets of woodfield. i heard over the summers, some real nice cars show up.

No, we represent a more mature group of Subaru owners.
Our fast cars don't street race, we go to the strip, or auto-x or rally-x.

Schaumburg cops are everywhere. I never speed by the malls or in that town. They'll get you for anything. I've been pulled over for driving to close to the edge of my lane. They just happened to be running a program that everyone who was pulled over had the dogs sniff out there cars. I was very happy to know that there are no firearms or drugs in my car:D

Most of the Subaru owners usually stay clear of Streets and we have our own meets in other places. This summer there will almost always be a meet in front of Border's (more like Old Navy I believe) on Thursdays in Schaumburg and I wouldn't be surprised if there are 40+ cars there this summer. Be forwarned however that the tolerance for doing stupid crap in your car is about nil, and if you do something that may get us kicked out of that spot, you will be asked to leave.

Hey Doctornick....i talked to a guy that works at an insurance company with a yellow wrx. He told me that he meets up at denny's. maybe you're talking about the same denny's.Which denny's is that?

What times do you guys go up there?

7pm-730pm to 11pm or whenever we leave.
