quick uppipe q about helix

i am currently interested in buyin a helix uppipe for 02 wrx and wanted to ask if there are any probs wit buyin one off ebay and if so, where shud i get one for around the same price as they r sellin them on ebay which is 100 bucks...let me kno! ALSO if i install this uppipe will my check engine light come on or remain on??? i have just catback, no aftermarket dp...

I don't know if buying an advertised Helix uppipe off of eBay is a safe purchase or not. Lots of people buy parts off of eBay every day but you never know who you're dealing with.

Uppipe EGT Probe.

Resistor mod or CEL fix for uppipe. My EGT sensor was re-installed into the catless uppipe and finally failed after several tens of thousands of miles. I then went to Radio Shack and performed the mod in this thread to eliminate the CEL. There are slightly different ways to install the resistor and they all work just as well.
