I really like this ings+1 kit for the new '06.. the only problem is I can't figure out how much money it costs because it's in a different form of currency. I am also wondering when it will be released and how you get one shipped to the USA. I tried contacting them through e-mail but no luck.

can anyone give me a hand with this?

If really interested in getting the kit....try talking to Gruppe-S, they have this magician there named Preston that can get stuff :) through the vendors there.

Easy rule of thumb for converting Yen to dollars....drop the last two digits. 85,000 yen = $850 dollars (roughly depending on yen rate)

I am pretty sure that the Hybrid is more flexible than FRP and definately worth a little extra.

Gorgeous kit.....makes the 06 a hot and sexy biatch.
(all those that still hate on the 06....bite me ;) )

FRP = Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (aka to us westerners as Fiberglass)

the Hybrid has more durability and flexability to it. Not as brittle as the FRP bumpers.

got this explanation:

Hybrid Aero, a propriatary material produced by Ings. The Hybrid Aero is FAR superior to FRP, Urethane or any other material out there for any aero kit. The material is amazing. As strong and light as premium fiberglass but as flexible as urethane (with none of the urethane downsides).

Oh....found this for you :) you're gonna love it :)

It's a combination of Urethane and Fiberglass http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/15450 really good stuff as far as I can tell. As far as FRP, it's not just fiberglass, it's a thermoplastic with a fiberglass skeleton, and believe me the stuff is also great. I got a 300ZG front-bumper from AB-Flug, which is another company that you can't go wrong with.

I think you got it all wrong.

FRP is an acronym for Fiber Reinforced Plastic. That is a fancy term for fiberglass. All Fiberglass is considered FRP. It's also a "thermoset", not a thermoplastic.

We can manufacture parts in both FRP and Hybrid FRP as well.
