As some of you have noticed, I've had multiple threads on how my HIDs keep screwing up. Now, both won't work sometimes and it's not worth it to get stuck somewhere when my headlights don't work so I put my stock ones back in.

So since I've gotten this kit, both ballasts have blown, and the igniter seems to work when it feels like it. This is a ProXenon kit that supposedly is a redone Hella kit.

To sum it up, I'm tired of these things getting screwed up. Does anyone have a kit where it's been nothing but great quality? Can anyone link me to a good place? I think the Philip's kit is good, but I can't find them online.

McColloch kits are pretty good too. Usually find them for around $300

Also, what kind of kit would I need, since the places I have found online say it's a 9007 but I have an H4 according to the invoice that I have.

What year is your car? If you got a bugeye, then its most definately a 9007 sized bulb.

By the way, if you want an HID kit that works well. I might be selling my 8000K Bellof kit soon...

Dont get any bulbs that are rated above 5000k...the light output will be too blue or too purple..

I do have a bugeye though, it would be for an EDM light. What would happen if I have the wrong bulb in there? Since IIRC the invoice said H4. Are those really 8000k? They seem way too white to be that high...

Yeah, I'm looking to get something around 4200-5000k

Has anyone used any of these recommendations? Since I really don't want to have to go through what these ProXenon ones have given me...

The label said 8000k. But they aren't that cheesy deep blue color that alot of the cheapo 8000k kits out there seem to look. It looks alot like the PIAA 6600k. When it fully warms up, the light on the road is a crisp whiteish purple. But when you look directly at the headlights...this is what they look like. http://www.i-club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=47379

Oh btw, IIRC the EDM low beams are H1. If you have the wrong size bulb, like say an H4. It simply wont fit.

I have no idea what kind of bulb the WRXs use but I use OEM Denso ballasts with rebased OEM D2S Philips 4300K bulbs on my 9006 sockets.

Works great looks OEM too, no blue or purple color. Plug and play too.
