So I turned on the car yesterday morning and I noticed something odd. My clock inside the car didn't turn on when I started the car. Does anyone know how to fix this? I haven't looked in the manual yet but that's the next thing I'm gonna do. Thanks in advance!

You can physically yank it out of the dashboard with one hand (I've done this three times, twice on my own and once on another's car while installing his gauge pod. Give it a solid tug and out she comes. Look for the wires, there should be three (one is grounding and keeps the clock running when the car is turned off).

i used to just punch mine it would come back on but then i traded the car in for a 2006 wrx

I just had this same problem as you did on the 20th of OCT....now it is very inconvenience that I have to look at my cell in order to find out what time it is...

It may be a bad solder connection on the circuit board inside the clock, if you can deal with such things take it apart and have a look.

I pulled out the clock and looked at the wires. Everything looks OK there. The 3 wires are still attached. Guess I'll have to take it in and pay a few hundred dollars to get this thing fixed. Anyone else have any good ideas??

look for one on ebay; heck, if I can find mine, I'll sell it to you!

Ugh. I took my car in today and got the clock fixed...Cost me FREAKING $200 for diagnostics, labor, and the clock itself. What a ripoff.

^^^ my clock went out too. I never bring my car in to the dealer. Which is why i found a used clock for about $25 and that solved the problem.

check the fuse maybe???

If your clock stops working or becomes intermittent, and you are capable of doing so, open it up and look for bad solder joints on the internal circuit board. A few minutes with a soldering iron may be all that's needed to fix it.

So many people report their clocks breaking and just go to the dealer to get bent over. Take the time to look at your clock. If you can change your oil its likely that you can fix your broken clock. First pop off the top dash cover that goes around the clock. Then figure out how to remove the clock, its pretty easy just requires some small tools. Then actually remove the circuit board from the clock housing. Take a look at the traces on the board,.. if you find one that is burnt and broken you can just drop a tiny spot of solder on it and your done. Mine was specifically on the right hand side of a small square capacitor labeled "510". Look close at yours. Good luck...
