What to get? Engine mods.
I have $550 for my birthday last week, and i wanna buy some goodies for the RS. I am having a hard time deciding what mods to get. I am thinking about getting Borla headers and stromung hi-flow cat from boxer4racing. Or i could get TWE headers for $750 from boxer4racing, and get the hi-flow cat later on. On Cobbtuning.com they have EL headers and cat for $750 which is really cheap. I've read that they usually go for $1000 or so.
I plan on keeping my RS N/A. I know i should go with the best N/A mods that money can buy, but i really wanna keep the boxer sound.
I wanna buy engine mods. I'll worry about suspension later on.
The mods i have so far:
Stromung D89 Catback
AP LW pulley
Ganzflow CAI
STi Short Shifter
Thanks for your input.

I went through something similar about a year ago. I've had both the Cobb and the Borla Header at different times, and the Borla had the more boxerish rumble. Though the Cobb felt like it pulled a lot better (on the butt dyno). Sadly, it seems that equal length headers give us the largest gains, but it takes away from the boxer sound. When I was running the Cobb header, random tech Cat, and Cobb catback, the car sounded kind of like a dirtbike at the higher rev ranges, and more like other non-flat 4 engines at lower ranges. With the Borla, the car has that rumbly boxer note. I ended up putting the borla back on the car, even though the Cobb (on paper at least) would give better gains.
