Anyone have AVON ZZ1 tires on their WRX ?

If so, can you tell me a little about them?

Thanks

Ive honestly never even heard of these. Are they expensive, cheap, what?

Where did you find out about them?

I found a review by a miata owner here http://www.miata.net/products/wheels/avon.html

Must say I've never heard of them either, and some searching on google didn't find any big name places selling them for what it is worth.

Avon tires have been around for decades. They're from Great Britain and have been used in European motorcycle racing forever. I think they used to be standard on Rolls and Bentley's too.

Company is now affiliated with Cooper Tires in US

See: www.avontires.com

I've had a set on my new Rota Subzeroes for a few hundred miles now. I have same reaction as the Miata guy did. I've gone a lot faster on them on certain familiar roads and haven't been able to make them squeal yet! I got them from local distributor that I found on their website for about $89 each. I'm very happy so far.

Wow, that's a good price. What tire size?

I got 215/45R17 size. They are directional and have good deep tread.

I'll be needing new tires in a few months, I think I shall be checking these out. 89 bucks :) Now all I need to line up are some Rotas on my car.
