View Full Version : vf34 question wrxguy 08-01-2005, 11:46 PM Can i run a vf34 with stock up/dp ? Dice 08-02-2005, 06:48 PM i dont think so. you might be able to for a lil bit but i wouldnt. Me&05WRX 08-06-2005, 09:44 AM Why not go for up/dp first, better yet, with Cat-back to complete your exhaust system. IMO, it's better to have those things first, then have the turbo. blue blurr 08-11-2005, 04:20 PM Yes, You can run it with stock but you will need a very conservitive tune, almost like stock. Ide recomend getting at least an up-pipe before you do turbo. A 04 GUIZE 09-06-2005, 07:50 PM the up pipe cat might break. then your be in a world of ****. robsrex 09-07-2005, 02:03 PM I wouldn't run one with the stock dp either because the wastegate will be blocked. Best get a nice bellmouth or divorced dp so the gases can flow quicker. A 04 GUIZE 09-07-2005, 02:38 PM yes, any catless OR high flow cat will do the trick. black_s203 09-08-2005, 12:13 PM ^x100.:D nerrad5 10-02-2005, 09:27 AM Does anyone know how the vf34 will do on a 4EAT. (mainly lag) Right now I have a Vishnu UP and a Helix DP with Hiflow Cat and Greddy EVO Catback. Running COBB AP Stage 2. Also if it makes a difference, Samco IC and MAF hoses and silencer removal. blue blurr 10-02-2005, 09:16 PM It will do fine, AVE here on iclub has a vf34 with an auto. nerrad5 10-02-2005, 10:03 PM Good to hear. Got to start saving up just as soon as I get my new struts installed. About two weeks out. Imprezer 10-02-2005, 11:10 PM I disagree. While you will not gain much power, you can run VF34 with stock up/downpipes. I don't see why you would do it, but you will make some power. Of course, you will need to get your car retuned. blackwag 10-03-2005, 07:56 PM make sure you buy a bellmouth downpipe with that 34. i would recomend the up and down first though |
