A little help with clearing my headlights...

Im about to clear my headlights and i want to make sure that i do everything the right way.. Does any one out there have a step by step or a how to guide????..

Also be warned that when clearing the STi lights, you must be extra extra careful to make sure the lights are resealed 100% when you are done. There have been a number of instances where they leaked and water got in and damaged the HID ballasts. Sometimes the ballast will work again after it dries out but it's best to avoid this in the first place.

if you follow the directions it shouldn't be a problem. i was in your shoes too. in fact, my first headlight (since i was getting a feel on how to do it) ended up letting some moisture in a week or so later. not a problem though. simply take the unit back out, pop it in the oven and use some silicon caulk to recaulk the housing. that's what i did and everything is perfect now. best of luck!

I doubled up on the sealant.

I first used the black stuff that you use when installing a windshield along the part where everything joins (looks like a channel). Then after that all dried I used regular clear silicone around that for added piece of mind.

i did it and it looks sick. I thought that putting them in the oven was a joke but i finally said **** it and did it and it looks sick. bake at 200 for 15 min.

thanks for clarifying that...forgot that i am from the valley and not everyone knows the "lingo" but yeah my friends saw my headlights and i did a set of 02 civic headlights for my brother the same way. If there is anyone in the San Fernando valley that wants to do it and wants some help just hit me up i'll help you out. It was pretty easy.
