If you wanna do the transfers.. it might (I'm pretty sure it will) cost you a lot more for the job. I encourage you to do Screen printing. It's much cheaper that way and it will look much better.

but to answer your questions


"Can this be done locally?"- not sure.. but I do know of I think only ONE shirt blank distributor on the island. I forgot their name, but I can look that up for you if you want.

"What's the approximate cost per print?" - Appx. cost would depend on how many shirts you make...... PM me if you want a REAL appx. cost ;)

"Does it need to be a certain size?" - with transfers, it should be the size for the transfer machine pad or smaller. that's the largest it can do... but you don't need anything really too big, as long as it fits the shirt.

"I'm thinking about investing on something but need to find out where to have this sort of things printed." - If that is what you want to do as a profession, go for it, but I would advise you to get a screen printing machine first to recover your money for the machine. As good as transfers are, you can only do so much with them... they take longer, you can only do one shirt at a time, the special inks are REALLY expensive, the transfer paper is also REALLY expensive. The only really GREAT thing about it is that if you're at a convention or something like that... it's portable (as long as you have a electrical source.) and also maybe if you want sublimation done on the shirts.. then that would be a great machine for those. Other than that, just give it to the professionals to worry about and you'll be happy, they'll be happy and you can go au au without any worries. :)

yeah. thought that heat transfer was more expensive just seemed like a better option for printing shirts...etc.

It's a better option if you know that you're not going to be printing a whole lot of shirts. ooh.. also if you wanna do jerseys using vinyl.
