Funny side comment: My friend one told the teacher he was too sick to some to class, and when the teacher asked him what was wrong with him, he told her High Intensity Discharge! and it worked!

Actually 4100/4300K is the best for driving as it's the closest to sunlight. OEM HID kits on BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's, etc. all use Philips 4100K HID's. Anything past the 4000K range is more color than usable light. BTW, I fixed the link from my post.

or you can go here and then click on dealer:

You have to watch out for all the HID kits out there. Some are inferior due to the bulbs and ballasts they use. Make sure you get a quality ballast and that the warranty is good. Philips is a good company as they supply many car manufacturers, McCulloch is a another great company from what I have read and heard, you can go with Catz also, and I've heard some pretty good thing from www.misterjung.com His kits have Hella ballasts, but I'mnot sure what brand bulbs he provides.

All HID aftermarket retrofits are not equal, ProXenon's Bohmen HID is the leader in automotive aftermarket HID lighting. They are German manufactured (so that should tell ya something). My lights are the UPGRADE FOR A BMW THEY ARE 2 TIMES BRIGHTER THAT OEM HID's. the web site says "Competition and off road use only due to extreme light output." so you cant go wrong with this one i love mine. i was next to a BMW with hid's and my lights took over, it looked like his lights we off. ProXenon has have 4 different color kelvin. their 6000K is the brightest one they have.
6000K is OEM Like, but much whiter and 2x brighter than OEM HID.
7500K is Crystal deep blue. Lumen at 3460
9000K is Deep Purple white, Lumen at 3650.
12000K is Deep Crystal Purple, but extremely bright, lumen at 3400.

this is for the 6000K
Color Kelvin: 5800K ~ 6000K (Extreme White-Blue)
Bulb Lumen: Over 3400
Hank thanks for fixing the link
McCulloch was my 2nd choice, im not sure if its the same kit, but if you look at the McCulloch kit and the ProXenon kit all the parts are the same just the label on the ballast is different the ignitors have the same label and the bulbs hook up the same way. With the same color seals.

6000K would be overkill for my projectors unfotunately. The color remains purple/blue for most of the time and I personally wanted the white OEM look. When I had bluish output from my PIAA Xtreme Whites in my projectors, they looked great most of the time at night and from head-on, but once rain was falling and on the road or if it's foggy at night, the PIAAs really stunk bad. I would wonder if my lights were on. Maybe my mind will change when the 4300K bulbs burn out...

Everyone should read this before buy hid kits. http://www.intellexual.net/hid.htm, beware of high kelvin bulbs. Hotter doesnt mean brighter and better also consider glare and color output. Human eyes are more sensitive to sun light, at around 4000k
yep, hotter doesn't mean bright, cause our eye can only see a certain wavelength of EM wave, and there's too much wavelength we can't see in those 4000K above HIDs, so even it's hot, but it won't appear as bright as the 4000K HID.
