My car is running quite rich and i would like to lean it out a bit without buying any afc. Any ideas?

Only mods are Injen CAI and Stromung Dual Tip

get a big ass turbo and a FCD, turn up the boost...higher the boost..leaner your mixture

or you could just get an MBC and set it to 15-16psi

That's not going to make you run any leaner. Unless you are talking about inducing full boost with partial throttle purposely to starve the engine of fuel. Bad bad idea. SAFC is not too expensive, just save up and wait.

Thanx...so what's the best vendor to order this from. I'm getting sick of cleaning the sut off my muffler

How are you determining that you are running too rich? And how rich is too rich?

What area of the RPM range in particular are you running too rich?

driving style varies but 90% of the time i drive like a granny, shift at 3000-3500 rpm with some spirited driving once in a while. Get most of the pops and backfires in the low rpm range as well. And lately mileage seems to have dropped. I'm gonna reset the ECU this weekend and se if anything changes

Pops and backfires? That shouldn't happen at all unless you're running really rich on shifts.

Are you hearing detonation? Does it sound a little like marbles rattling in a metal can, or popcorn popping sounds while you're on the gas? Like 3000-3500 RPM and at full boost? In that case you are running LEAN and the solution would be to replace your intake with the stock airbox.

The reason I asked in the first place is that I would be really surprised if you are running rich enough to cause problems with your listed mods. However, I wouldn't find it unusual if you were running too lean.

The milage dropping can be cause if the ECU is pulling timing because you're detonating. This would cause you to get on the throttle a bit more to get the smae power, you may also be putting more load on the engine (higher boost, more fuel) to get the same power.

You are driving like a granny and found out you are running rich? Doesn't make sense. Shouldn't you be in closed loop mode what that kind of light load? (Unless you reach full boost at 3.5k RPM with TPS > 60%) In closed loop, you should be getting exactly 14.7 ar adjusted by ECU. In open loop mode you could be running rich, but you should really get gauges and be data logging to find out what's really wrong with your car before you do anything.
