Wheel Question
I have a set of 18x7.5 Volk Racing GT-C(+50 or +52 offset I believe) wheels now. I wanna get a set of 19's and my question is, what's the widest wheel I can fit on my car? Also, I wanna see some lip on the wheels, should I go for a lower offset?

Subydude has 17x8's (I think they have a +48mm 0ffset) with 245's but you would have to do some heavy modifications to the fenders and suspension to avoid rubbing. Here is a link http://www.subydude.com/mods/detailsdoc.php?3053. You should keep the offset between 48 and 52mm to avoid rubbing and premature wheelbearing failure so going for a wheel with some lip wouldnt be the best for a WRX. Do you have any suspension modifications or do you plan to because these things will play a role in weather or not you will have any issues with your tires rubbing. Are you going with a 19" wheel for the bling or are you wanting them to improve handeling (they wont improve handeling)?

Wouldn't 225's on 17x8's kind of stretch the tire? Or maybe it was that 245's will bulge out. Anyway getting close to buying 17x8's for myself but still haven't decided on what tires to get. Still trying to do my homework.

If you are going with a 17x8 anything less than a 235 would be a waste of wheel width. Here is a video clip that shows suby dudes WRX with 17x8's with 245's and they dont seem to bulge too much, check it out http://www.subydude.com/video/video_dump/torque_wmv.wmv. If you have the $ you may want to look into so3's, that is what I went with and I plan on getting another set when these wear out. What wheel are you thinking of purchaseing?

Thanks for the link... 17x8s with 245s are perfect! I'm not sure what rims I'm going for yet, but I'm crossing my fingers on sweet 2nd hand 5zigen set. He has 225's on em but they need to be replaced. It sort of looked anemic with the 225's.
I'm just afraid I might get rubbing on 245's. Currently have the front end dropped 2.4" and the rear 1.3"

Go with 24's and spinners! Sorry. 19" wheels on a wrx is fine for a trailered show car, but driving everyday would suck. The wheels you have now are very good. They are hard to beat.
