Rota or Advan???

Simple Survey: If you had the budget, which set of wheels would you buy and why? Supplying the Size and Name of the wheels is up to you. Have Fun!

Rota Torques from Subydude.com would be my choice if on a budget. Can't go wrong w/ 17X8 wheels w/ 245/40/17 tires .

"if you had the budget"? Man, if you had the budget why would you even consider Rotas? The Advans are lighter, stronger, and overall higher quality. Rotas are great for cheap wheels, but if money were no object, we'd all have Advans or some other wildly expensive Japanese wheels.

he said "if you had the budget"

I interpret that to mean "if you could afford either of them" but it's kind of ambiguous isn't it???

Okay, how about this:

If he's ON a budget, what is it? $500, $1000, $2000? Why would someone ask what wheels to buy ON a budget and not give the budget amount? His post says "if you had THE budget", whatever the hell that means.

IF i had the money, I'd go with Advans, they're nice wheels, they look great on suby's and they're stronger than rotas

If I was on a budget too, I would rock the stockers until I have enough money to get Advans or something just as good...It just feels more rewarding getting something that I really want rather than settling for whats available....

Question Edit

Geez, I knew this was going to happen.... OK People! If you HAD THE MONEY, which wheels would you get and why?

Just HAD to nit-pick at the wording, didn't ya? Can't we just forget the English lesson and answer the question?

Seems wierd to me, one's a cheap wheel and the other a hella expensive wheel, comparing advan's to ssr's or something might make sense but... well, whatever

I'd buy the new ones from Rota that come in 17x8 and shed them with some decent rubber and put the difference into suspension/brake parts.

But then I am known to be a tight bastard at times....
