Big money; sure. But you've got to expect to spend some $$$ when it comes to high numbers. This video gives me hope for the STi and more reasons to move out of California.

Big hope for the STi? :rotfl: I'd love to see an EJ25 make that kind of power! Honestly, I don't think it's capable. If it is, plan on spending about $35,000 on the engine alone!

FWIW, a top fuel engine (yes, NHRA 4 second cars) runs around $54,000. I would expect it to be much more expensive than that. I read that about a year ago in AutoWeek, I believe. According to the article the average price of one was $54,000.

Well, there's always hope. The EJ25 is still within its first 5 years of its introduction so good things are yet to come. Look what happened with GM's 350ci smallblock. It's now legendary.
