So I got the DP and got it on (pictures to come tomorrow) and fitment seems to be about on par with other aftermarket DP's I've seen. However, the welds look like good quality and the flanges are nice and thick :)

The kit came with the following:

shorty downpipe
midpipe
DP to midpipe bolts, nuts, and washers
turbo to DP gasket
DP to midpipe gasket
plugs for the rear o2 sensor bung and wideband bung at top of DP
Crucial Racing license plate frame
Two (2) "Made in Mexico" Lolly Pops
Looking forward to hearing what kind of gains you see....I've been debating between this or the Titek

I had a stage 2 protune done when I had a helix DP but the car was an automatic, so it was a conservative tune. Once I get the coated headers I'll be getting retuned but the car is also now a manual, so the tunes wont be comparable.

The new downpipe looks great! I can't wait to see what it does with a good tune :)

Me too :) I might pick up another helix flex UP and send it to them to get coated and get the coated headers, and then I'll be back Ed.

The one thing that is bothering me is that it sounds like its knocking on the tranny crossmember or something, but that may be because my j-hook looked a little bent

Is that happening when you're going in reverse? I've seen a couple cars do this with various downpipes. You might want to try loosening the turbo and UP and rotating the turbo a bit. Having the turbo rotated a bit can offset the rest of the TBE and cause some fitment issues.

Thanks

Thanks for the input Ed. Its happening when going over bumpy roads. If I have time before work I'm going to crawl back under and take a look at everything, otherwise I'll see what LIC can do when the install the possible UP and the headers.

Good call... LIC will take care of it :)

Let me know if you're coming up this way. I'm in Novato now so LIC is right around the corner.
