i dont know how far NH is for you, think it is way over what your looking for, but anyway. there is a shop in dover. it is R&L engines, they do amazing work, not that expensive either. won machine shop of the year 2 years in a row i think. had my VW head machined/ported there and the block bored over.
the guy who owns it is my G/F best friends dad, he drives a 600WHP El Camino on the street, the car is insane, bring earplugs to ride in it, he custom made the headers for it, after that, straight pipes.
