Sea Ice Ends Year at Same Level as 1979
Thanks to a rapid rebound in recent months, global sea ice levels now equal those seen 29 years ago, when the year 1979 also drew to a close.
Ice levels had been tracking lower throughout much of 2008, but rapidly recovered in the last quarter. In fact, the rate of increase from September onward is the fastest rate of change on record, either upwards or downwards.
In May, concerns over disappearing sea ice led the U.S. to officially list the polar bear a threatened species, over objections from experts who claimed the animal's numbers were increasing.

idk, I've just seen his rallies and clips of him speaking about carbon offsets lol
I'm all for planting some trees, but don't have a BS reason (i.e. off setting your carbon to STOP GLOBAL WARMING). If you want to go green and plant some trees, sweet! But you aren't affecting the temperature

I will quote Ike here: "Holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must always be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become a captive of a scientific-technological elite."
