The United States federal government and state governments are broadly forbidden by the First Amendment of the Constitution from restricting speech. See, e.g., Gitlow v. New York (1925), incorporating the free speech clause. Generally speaking, the First Amendment prohibits governments from regulating the content of speech, subject to a few recognized exceptions such as defamation[26] and incitement to riot.[27] Even in cases where speech encourages illegal violence, instances of incitement qualify as criminal only if the threat of violence is imminent.[28] This strict standard prevents prosecution of many cases of incitement, including prosecution of those advocating violent opposition to the government, and those exhorting violence against racial, ethnic, or gender minorities. See, e.g., Yates v. United States (1957), Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969).

That woman is ****ing crazy. Note the "proud to be an american!" playing in the back ground...................
I feel sorry for the dude, said he had family in the camps.
I mean, it's very evident that the woman is just straight up racist.
and the dude has no idea how nationalized healthcare sucks. lol...

She's not a racist, she's an idiot.
exactly. her intention by saying something like this was to try to offend him. it was not informative nor was it constructive, as evidenced by her "whaa whaa" mockery at the end of then video when the man explained to her how he paid $8000. pretty selfish of her. if it is protect, ok, but it doesnt make her less of a **** (c-word)
In other words, she didn't say that to him because she likes Hitler, she said it to him because he supports health care reform.
This is, of course, what passes for intelligent discourse in this country. It's ****ing pathetic, and one of the reasons I greatly dislike people that are only interested in their "side" and don't give a **** about the truth.
At a Las Vegas town hall last week, "tempers flared" as the local CBS affiliate put it. But that really only begins to describe the video that landed on the station's Web site.
To be clear, you just witnessed a Jewish man defending Israel's national health insurance system as a way of respecting Israeli soldiers.
But a woman -- oddly enough, wearing an Israeli Defense Force t-shirt -- shouted at him, "Heil Hitler!"; presumably piggy-backing on the escalating **** rhetoric being applied to the current U.S. administration for its proposed health insurance reforms.
"Did you hear this?!" the man shouted. "She say to a Jew, 'Heil Hitler'! I am a Jew! You're telling me, 'Heil Hitler'? Shame on you! Shame on you!"
The woman appeared speechless when the camera turned on her.
"Heil Hitler?!" the man pressed.
Her reply was inaudible, but seemed criticize President Obama.
"No," he said. "I [don't] want to talk against Obama or for Obama. I want to talk about the health ... I wasn't ... I didn't have insurance. I didn't have insurance. I go to Spring Valley hospital. Two hours in [the] emergency room. How much you think they ask me to pay?"
He paused.
"Two hours," the man said, before shouting: "EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS!"
The woman's only response was to mimic the sound of a crying baby.
Somehow, this is what passes for "public discourse."

Are you sure she knew he was a Jew? It looked to me like she was surprised when he pointed out that fact to her. Again, she is wearing an IDF shirt -- the Israeli Defense Forces.
