Eh. If it had hit the ocean, it would have been pretty bad - over land would have flattened a city or two.

But ALL? No, I don't think so.

damn, i missed another chance to witness the sky opening up.

i dont know why but i just have a vision of the clouds opening up as i'm out side staring at the sky.

Steve Buscemi FTW!

I've figured it out. If the media/government TELLS you about something that'll scare the **** out of you, it isn't true. If they don't tell you, it's because its something that quite literally will scare the **** out of you (and rightfully so) and that'll smell pretty bad.

Thundar the Barbarian lied. This thing was supposed to rip the atmosphere off..

PaulSTI 03-05-2009 03:32 PM

Wait... you mean you actually read FoxNews for NEWS? *boggle*

SilverScoober02 03-05-2009 06:24 PM

Yeah, I didn't read the whole article but I'm sure some Fox News "journalist" went into a diatribe about how Obama was the reason this asteroid was even close to hitting earth and it was only averted at the last minute by the heroics of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity combining forces to ward off the evil liberal asteroid.

Is that what the article said?

: banana :

Turbo Rob 03-05-2009 07:07 PM

I read a different article that went into more detail about asteroids, and it said in something like 2038... i think... as asteroid is supposed to come in as close as 20k miles. Now thats some scary ****.
