Yup... if you supported her, you're a ****ing moron...

Same people that are voting for Sen Stevens right now in Alaska even though he's been convicted on multiple counts recently.

 "The vetting process was thorough..."

yeah I read that earlier, and it looks like there was some retort from the Palin camp that everything in that report is over exaggerated.

some of the stuff they talk about I have a hard time believing, but I give full credibility to the shopping spree happening. I can totally see them running through a store all giddy.

there is going to be a lot of finger pointing on "who made who lose" but they don't seem to understand "why they didn't win".

I hope this election is the kick in the butt for the republican party to clean up its act, and get real people that represent the party on the tickets in 2 and 4 years.

How can you say that those that supported the McCain/Palin campaign are morons, when this "information" was deliberately covered up?

Yes please!

I hate being an independent

I'd love to be a rep again, but they have to cut out the religion out of politics and keep that stuff personal and within churches. I do not want to see religion in politics, I can't stand it.

I feel there is probably a lot of truth in that report. I mean, the guy had to keep quiet about it until after the election!? I can see her being a totally STUPID ***** who loves the spotlight, loved going on the shopping spree, being arrogant and not prepping for interviews. Going all crazy in fits when things didn't go her way or when her stupidity shows in interviews.

I mean, seriously... Not know about the countries in NAFTA? Not knowing that Africa is a continent... I'm sorry, but that's some really easy middle school/HS type of stuff. She went to College...

Why does she remind me so much about W?

She could've been our VP!

Scary.

Read it again.

I don't have much against McCain. He's a solid dude.

Its Palin. Palin is a ****ing nut case, and these little behind the scenes things help solidify why she was a horrible pick.

Besides, she is not the reason McCain lost, W is.

Irish_car_B0mb 11-06-2008 04:03 PM

I knew Palin would be the one sure reason McCain wouldnt get voted in. At first I thought it was a smart move by McCain have a women for Vice Prez and then I found out maybe she wouldnt be the best to serve with McCain.

On a side note: Africa isnt a country? :lol

JArnaud 11-06-2008 04:04 PM

I think its a Principality (family guy reference anyone?)

IMHO it comes down to this:

McCain can't win without moderates.
McCain can't win without the hardcore rep base...

The hardcore rep base, currently, is FILLED with evangelicals...

Well, it was doomed from the beginning then. They chose Palin cause she represents the evangelical vote AND is a woman.

Plenty of other AWESOME rep women out there, but they aren't evangelicals, or have that "W" "he's just like me" effect. They gambled, and they lost. They were pretty careless.

But I still feel the bigger issue will be how to address the rep party today, the heavy amount of religion that is now intertwined with the rep party. This makes it super, super hard to be more central, and being central is what wins elections. Just ask Barack.

Max Xevious 11-06-2008 04:19 PM

like I said before.. GW beat McCain twice.. once in 2000 and again in 2008.

I still wonder what would have happeend without Palin. She did energize a lot of the base in the mid west, but they were already voting for McCain as it was.

If Romney was on the ticket and we had the financial crisis, and he stood up and told everyone why they were ****ing stupid and this is what REALLY needs to be done, we might have seen a President Elect McCain :(
