Socialism anyone?

By 2012, nearly $1 trillion from the top 30 percent of American families will be redistributed among the bottom 70 percent if Obama’s proposals on taxes, health care, and climate change become law, according to the Tax Foundation.

“Even if none of Obama’s policies becomes law, the extent of income redistribution is remarkable,” Scott Hodge, president of the nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, said. “The top-earning 40 percent of families will transfer $826 billion to the bottom 60 percent in 2012.”

And this is why democracies suck. A majority of people voted for him, so they get what they want at the cost of the people that disagree having policies they dislike foisted upon them.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.

i voted for him and i believe in policy reform and redistribution. i do not necessarily believe in everything he is doing and every moment, but i know a lot of my friends who are going to die without health care reform makes it enough for me to believe it needs to change.

and the scary thing about this redistribution is that people believe that the money will somehow stay with the "poor" - when in fact, anyone trained in economics knows that in even less time that the money will return to the rich and leave the poor - so the same process has occurred, wherein the rich have become richer, and the poor poorer, but the power and spread of the government has dramatically increased - WTF
