Good lord. The National Day of Service has been in the works by the families and supporters of 9/11 victims for 7 years! It wasn't until August that the bipartisan legislation for the official holiday passed Congress. It has absolutely nothing to do with Obama, aside from the fact that he happens to be the president that signs the bill into law. One year ago this would have been fully credited to the Bush admin and heralded by conservatives. Stop being a partisan douche.
