I know a few guys who were/are employed with a PMC (not Blackwater) and none of them fit the stereotype in which you described. These companies don't just hire anyone off the street. Most of the time, unless you come from an SOF background or have a very specific skill set they won't even want to talk to you.

I have worked with them before in Iraq and Kuwait. First hand experience speaks more than reading a story in the paper. :):sign0015:
